Altimage Celebrates 25 Years of Quality Service
On July 2nd, 2005 Altimage celebrated its 25th
year of services to the Canadian business community. For any
business to have withstood the vicissitudes of commercial
life for such a period of time is in itself quite an achievement.
Especially for a company working in an economic sector that
has seen such rapid and continuous technological changes.
Altimage has prevailed and prospered mostly through the determination
and dedication of its principals, the skills of its employees
and the satisfaction of its clientele.
Retrospective
On July 2nd, 1980, the Slide Center JLS was
founded. The business was focused primarily on the production
of high-quality photographic slides for business presentations.
In 1986, Centre Video Vision was added, integrating commercial
film editing as well as post-production services. In 1989,
CR Photo joined the group, providing print enlargements from
digital and analog sources. In 1994, JLS and Centre Video
Vision were merged, CR Photo was dissolved and Altimage was
created.
In 1996, the company added interactive CD-ROM
production, Web-site design and CD duplication services. In
1999, Altimage continued to keep pace with technology and
introduced the business card CD-ROM, a first to the Montreal
market. In 2000, the company developed e-mail tracking software
integrated to high-impact, dynamic Flash presentations. In
2002, the company added in-house CD and DVD duplication and
printing services.
In 2003, Altimage introduced its own
CD-tracking software called AltraceXtra. This software monitors
and tracks what users are interested in on the CD-ROM. This
year, Altimage has expanded its video post-production capacity
to three editing stations. As the company evolves, it continues
to invest in the training and technology that will best benefit
its client base.
